What is Record Store Day?

A day for the people who make up the world of the independent record stores whereby customers and artists come together to celebrate the unique culture of a record store and the special role these independently owned stores play in their communities.

Record Store Day Australia’s goal is to elevate and promote the contemporary music community and support Australian independent record stores, labels, artists with a hope to reach a broader audience and grow the event each year.

On The Day
We are not allowed to Open for trade prior to 8 AM (Brisbane Time) on the day of Record Store Day.
We are not allowed to take pre-orders or reservations for customers who are not able to come into the shop to make their purchase.
We are not allowed to hold back product to sell at a later date, either in shop or online.
For clarification we may not reserve any product on Record Store Day i.e. stores should not hold back product for anyone even if they attend the store later in the day.
All RSD product has to be sold on a first come first served basis.
In Previous years we have had people waiting out the front from the Friday Afternoon. Most people will arrive very early, ie 4am. Please bring a coat and or an umbrella in case it rains as our awning only accommodates 50-60 people. 

Online Sales
We are Not allowed to sell titles Online until the Monday 20th April 2026 at 9am (Brisbane Time). There are consequences for us if we sell them before 9am

What titles will we get in for Record Store Day?
Every year we place our orders for titles with our supplier. 
We then wait until the suppliers close their orders (Generally by early April the orders will close)
We do not know what we will get for RSD until the day before RSD. Titles change and can be cancelled by the supplier. We may not get every title in time for RSD, some will come the following week, some may never arrive
There are generally hundreds of titles available to order. We do not order every title, but we of course order popular titles ie Taylor Swift, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish (you know the ones that are popular)
If you are keen on a title you have seen 'online' please email us at info@reloveoxley.com so we can add it to our orders. We do not respond to every email or enquiry. Rest assured we will add the title and hope for the best! If unsure please email us but ensure you have read this page first!

Titles in this Section.
