DDA - Holden HQ Monaro GTS Coupe 'Tasman Bridge Car' - Monterey Green' - 1:24 Scale

Famous car that nearly fell from the Tasman Bridge in Hobart on January 5th, 1975 after the bulk carrier Lake Illawarra collided with the bridge’s pylons and a large section of the deck fell into the Derwent River.

One of them being a green HQ GTS Monaro, owned by Frank and Sylvia Manley, who carefully escaped from the car to safety. This vehicle, still in its original condition, is currently on show in the Launceston Motoring Museum. 2025 will mark the 50th anniversary of this event
