Alain Prost's #11 McLaren MP4/4 finished second at the historic 1988 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, a legendary race where teammate Ayrton Senna secured both the victory and the World Championship.

Powered by the Honda RA168E 1.5-litre V6-turbo engine, the MP4/4 is widely regarded as one of the most dominant F1 cars ever made, winning 15 out of 16 races in the 1988 season.

Prost led early in the race at Suzuka before Senna—who recovered from a terrible start where his engine initially stalled—charged back through the field to take the lead and the title.
